Scanmatic is probably most known for our sensor and instrumentation systems and the design and delivery of monitoring and control systems for harsh environments for customers in hydro and wind power, meteorology, hydrology, ITS and environmental monitoring.

What tends to be a bit under-communicated is that Scanmatic is also a SW company, and that our main SW product H2 is a critical component in most of our customers data monitoring and control systems Most of our customers within instrumentation and control systems use the H2 SW for management and data collection. The H2 product started as a quite limited PC-based data collection engine in the early 1990 called “SMIns” and has developed constantly, first as HIDACS and later H2 to an extensive network management and data collection tool running both on-prem in Windows and Linux environments and as a cloud service on MS Azure and AWS.

In the latest version 2.11 that was launched mid February, we have added several interesting new features such as support protocol support for dataloggers from Campbell Scientific, LDAPS support, improved alarm functionality, improved UX and several performance improvements in the H2 Calc module.

If you’re already a H2 customer you have or are entitled to access to our SLA section in www.scanmatic.com on login.scanmatic.com where complete release notes are available together with downloads, full revision history, all product documentation and a useful AI-assistant.

If you are not an H2 user yet, but interested, please check out the H2 Cloud-product or contact one our clever sales engineers for more information.
