Application
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration today has approx. 300 weather stations provided by Scanmatic, along the road network in Norway. Observational data from these weather stations should to a great extent be utilized dynamically and in real time. Data from the stations is collected to the nearest VTS and further to a central system. A standard road station collects data on rainfall, rainfall type, air temperature, humidity, roadway temperature, wind and camera.
Technology
Scanmatic uses various sensors from knonw suppliers together with our own data logger, SM5059. In addition, Scanmatic has developed a Road Weather app for free use. This shows real-time data on various roads in Norway.
