We are pleased to welcome Håkon Seljåsen to Scanmatic as a Project Engineer in our Automation segment! Håkon holds a master’s degree in physics and mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, bringing with him a solid foundation in mathematical modelling, data analysis, numeric simulations and software development. His master´s thesis consisted of programming and verifying a “Simulation of nonlinear wave propagation in ultrasound”, and this genuine interest for both software, modelling and the underlaying physics equips him well to tackle the challenges we face both in automation and our adjoining segments.
Håkon has worked for 10 years with software and simulations both related to complex oil-drilling scenarios where forces, masses and pressure are predicted for training and “hardware in the loop” testing and also building and maintaining ERP-applications that serves thousands of end users every day. During his spare time, he might read Tolkien, repair his own car or attend to one of his beehives. This jack of all traits has an entrepreneurial mindset and thrives at discovering business opportunities and potential where others might just move on.
