Application
The Swedish Road Administration today has approx. 300 weather stations delivered by Scanmatic, along the road network in Norway. Observational data from these weather stations must be able to be used dynamically and in real time to a large extent. Data from the stations is collected towards the nearest VTS and further towards a central system. A typical road weather station observes precipitation, precipitation type, air temperature, humidity, road surface temperature, wind and camera.
Technology
Scanmatic AS uses various sensors from recognized suppliers together with our own data logger, SM5059.
Scanmatic has also developed a Vegvær app for free use. This shows real-time data on different road sections in Norway.
